 Apollo’s Fire believes that all people, regardless of location and economic status, deserve to share in the inspirational and transformative powers of classical music. In 2017, Apollo’s Fire launched the bold new Community Access Initiative, with the goal to break down economic barriers to attendance, making world-class baroque concerts accessible to new audiences. The Community Access Initiative has served more than 43,000 youth and adults to date through free and discounted tickets and outreach programming.

 AF believes passionately in nurturing the next generation of music appreciators and professional early music performers. Since 2002, Jeannette Sorrell and her principal players have helped to train future Apollo’s Fire musicians by working with advanced music students, sharing AF’s particular style and approach to baroque music. With a track-record of over 20 years, AF’s Young Artist alumni have now become the leading up-and-coming young professionals of the national and international early music scenes.

 Apollo's Fire Family Concerts are fun, interactive programs designed "for ages 6 to 96!" These programs spark learners of all ages with discussion, quizzes, and prizes, along with opportunities to interact "up close" with professional musicians. Since 2002, Apollo’s Fire has performed many popular Family Concerts in community venues across northeast Ohio. AF’s famous “Instrument Petting Zoo” ends each program when the audience swarms the stage to try the instruments.
